Hi, I’m Paul Smillie — an IT professional with over 27 years of hands-on experience in the technology industry. Throughout my career, I’ve worked as an IT Manager across schools and academies, helping organisations get the best out of their systems while ensuring everything runs smoothly, securely, and efficiently.
I specialise in a wide range of technologies, from Microsoft, Cisco, and VMware to cloud solutions like M365 and SharePoint. Over the years, I’ve built a reputation for being approachable, reliable, and solution-focused — whether it’s troubleshooting day-to-day IT issues, managing complex networks, or leading digital transformation projects.
Service not Self
Outside of my IT career, I proudly serve as a Colonel in the Army Cadet Force, where I lead and support over 1,300 cadets and adult instructors. This role has sharpened my leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, which I bring into every professional setting.
At the heart of what I do is a simple goal: making technology work for people, not the other way around.
